This market just refuses to take a rest from the uptrend. Once again the bulls were able to brush off disheartening economic news and take the market higher. Even when the S&P and Dow dipped into negative territory at noon, the NASDAQ just levitated at +1 point for about 5 minutes. (I could just picture someone standing there with a truck full of $$$ buying everything thrown at them.) It was another good day in that we closed near the highs of the day, and did so on increasing volume. The NASDAQ and S&P were both able to make new 2003 closing highs. Dell is weighing on the market a bit in after-hours trading. Let’s see if that carries over into tomorrow.
