We’re set to gap down this morning on the heels of Cisco’s earnings/guidance. The QQQ is only about 20 cents above its 50-day moving average in pre-market trading. It’ll be interesting to see if that line holds as support again.
I’m finding very few enticing trading candidates, long or short. I’ll have my alerts set, as usual, but I doubt I’ll initiate any trades today. It’s probably a good idea to go long at the open into the gap, but that’s not my style.

Interesting morning… Nasdaq is going nowhere after the gap down, while the Dow has rallied.
Usually one exerts a gravitational pull on the other … question today is whether the Dow pulls the Naz up or the Naz drags the Dow down.
I made a little coin in my paper account shorting the QQQ from the top end of this rally … jumped out a bit too soon, but you’ll never get the timing exact.
Now I’m poised to play the bounce; here’s hoping it actually happens.
