I didn’t find much that looked worth buying or shorting when I went through my scans yesterday. But oddly enough, of the five stocks that made my buy candidate list three are foreign stocks. Bill Cara, the Trader Wizard, who tracks Brasil (where I just left) even more than me, will be happy to know (I think) that I’ve finally found my entry point on some Brazilian stocks. EWZ (Brazil iShares) and UBB are in great buying positions. Another of my long time favorite stocks is VIP, the Russian cellular play. For some odd reason its chart looks a hell of a lot like UBB. Maybe I’m seeing the trail of some mutual fund(s). Here are charts of UBB and VIP:
