Watchlist for January 7, 2005

The bulls are apparently loving the December jobs report based on the post-report pop in the pre-market futures. We still haven’t gotten any stochastic buy signals (based on my settings) but that may very well happen today if this early rally holds. I have a ton of stocks on the swing list today but I won’t be trading any of them. Those of you who have been reading this site for a while know that I avoid earnings season like the plague. It’s right around the corner once again — a week away. Given that earnings warnings are starting to be released I don’t want to be caught holding the wrong stock over the next week. So I’ll probably just look for day trades for the rest of the month.

Currently holding:

Long – None

Short – None

Looking for swing trade entries in:

(no swing trades for me until after earnings season)

Longs – BYD, CBRL, GCO, GPRO, IFIN, IPS, ISRG, ITG, KMX, MVL, RECN, SBL, SWFT, UNA

Shorts – None
