I’m Taking a Few Days Off

I’ve got some appointments and other stuff I need/want to take care of so I’m taking a few days off from trading. This seems like a perfect time to step away, with options expiration on Friday and the Fed meeting on Tuesday. I’ll get back to trading on Wednesday. Blogging will be light the next few days (no watchlists) but I plan on making some changes (hopefully improvements) to the site during this time off. And I’ll have one eye on that BIDU short position of mine. :-)

    Mike,

What do you think about WNDXQ.pk (Winn Dixie)?

I bought 1000 shares for fun at .69 , expecting a nice rise after all the BK stuff is sorted out. Listened to earnings call and they said they will be profitable this qtr.

lot of people sleeping on it, and no coverage…just thought I would pass that one along.

    Hi Mike,
You noted that you could see the shares available for short selling. Where do you look to see the availablity of short shares? Many times I try to short sell but shares are not available so my order is rejected. I appreciate the help.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Jim,

My trading platform (CyberTrader) displays the number of shares available for borrowing. That field is part of its order entry box/window.
