Sites / Books for Learning Technical Analysis

I just saw this question over at Yahoo Answers: “Please suggest a website for me to learn about technical analysis?”

This is how I answered:

Check out Chart School at StockCharts.com and/or Technical Analysis: Introduction at Investopedia

That answers the question as asked but if you really want to learn about technical analysis you should pick up a good book or two, like Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John Murphy, Technical Analysis of Stock Trends by Edwards & Magee, Technical Analysis Explained by Pring or what looks like a good book for beginners, Stikky Stock Charts.

Update: Woo-hoo! My answer was chosen as the best one. \:d/

Those are some great book recommendations Mike. I’m especially partial to Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets. That was the first TA book I ever read…flipped right back to the beginning when I finished it the first time! ;)
