Here we go into the heart of earnings season once again. I don’t like to focus on the technicals during earnings because things are so news driven. So all I’m gonna say is that I’ve still got one eye on the trendlines I drew the other day.

Gapping Down
On weak earnings/guidance: ETN -4.7%… Other news: MDT -5.0% (voluntarily suspends distribution of Sprint Fidelis defibrillation leads), FRPT -8.1% (discloses certain material weaknesses), CTEL -5.0% (says not aware of any reasons for such decrease in the price and increase in the trading volume), PHG -4.6% (3Q earnings fall on semiconductor unit sale, says operations grow – International Herald Tribune), LVLT -4.3% (announced that it is beginning a search for a new CFO), HSWI -3.0% (major shareholder, HowStuffWorks, enters into merger agreement with Discovery Communications).
Gapping Up
