If you are one of 4,454 Google feed reader subscribers who have not received any updates since Mike’s departure post on January 26th, then I have good news for you. Welcome back and sorry for the delay as you are behind 31 market recaps!
On January 27th the site switched servers, received a theme upgrade, WordPress updates, new plugin installs, and the Feedburner feed was transferred. Unfortunately what I did not realize is that this would cause the site’s original default feed address, tradermike.net/index.xml, to change to tradermike.net/feed/. Not knowing this, Google Reader updates error’d out:

Resolving this error was very easy, once I knew what the heck was happening. I emailed a long-time blogger colleague of Mike’s, Maoxian, to see how he was enjoying the new site posts. He responded to let me know that the site feed was no longer updating in Google reader so assumed the site went stagnant and thus stopped reading. After emailing me the above screenshot I quickly resolved the issue using a simple 301 redirect and “voila!”, back to normal.
All in all, welcome back Google Readers. Trader Mike is still doing daily market recaps and I look forward to having you read them moving forward.
